i have been manicurist since 2007 , considered that I started to do nail Art in my early teenage years. Experimenting with nail art and unusual techniques. I love nails and I for me nails are the ultimate Fashion statement for both : Men and women. Hand are also the fist thing what people will notice, as we use our hands for everything.
So I have few tips for you out there.
REMOVAL
Lint-free cotton pads are the best when removing old nail polish as they are fluff free. I like to moist all nails first with remover and then hold it on with cotton pad for few seconds and then slightly glide off the access. Then, sweep the pad away from your cuticle towards tip of the nail , to avoid colour bleeding onto your skin.
PERFECT CUTICLES
It best kept to a minimum at home, as if not trained as nail technician you vcan do more harm that good. Do it after soaking your hands in warm water whilst added few drops of olive oil. And after soaking for 5min max, you can easily be pushed back with orange wood stick. For nail technician I would recommend Tweezerman tools. They are awesome.
NAIL POLISH
A good base coat is essential. It extends the life of your manicure and prevents staining. I love OPI base coats and they have big variety to choose from. After the base coat, apply two to three thin layers of your chosen polish. Thin layers mean you don't need to wait in between coats for drying.
FINISHING TOUCHES
Use a compact makeup brush ex, Eveliner brush or concealer brush, differ in polish remover to clean up mistakes. This is key to making your nails look professional. The apply clear Top Coat to seal all together. My best trick for manicures: "Apply nail polish layers thinly and you'll be amazed by the speedy drying time.
